High School Pathways at Union Colony Schools
Most high schools give students one path. Union Colony Preparatory School gives them three. Each is designed for a different kind of ambition, and all are backed by the guidance to make it work.
Union Colony Preparatory School serves students in grades 6 through 12, all tuition-free, and prepares students to excel in college and beyond. Here's how families choose the plan that's right for them.
UC Core Pathway
The UC Core Pathway includes 46 semester classes and 24 UC credits. Students complete a full, rigorous high school experience on campus, supported by four years of Advisory.
This pathway benefits students who:
Want a comprehensive college preparatory foundation.
Plan to attend a two-year or four-year college after graduation.
Thrive in a consistent, structured academic environment.
If your student wants a strong, complete high school experience with a clear path to college, this is where that starts.
Concurrent Enrollment Pathway
The Concurrent Enrollment Pathway blends Union Colony coursework with 6 to 10 Aims Community College classes. Union Colony Prep is across the street from Aims Community College, giving students easy access to the campus where they'll be taking classes. Students earn real postsecondary credit during high school while remaining fully supported by our staff.
Students must meet eligibility standards related to GPA, attendance, and academic performance, as these are actual college classes with real stakes.
This pathway benefits students who want:
reduced future college costs.
increased academic challenge.
experience with real college coursework before graduating.
If your student is hungry for more challenges and ready to start earning college credit before graduation, this pathway delivers. Bonus: Every credit earned is tuition they won't have to pay later.
Associate Degree Pathway
Through the Associate Degree Pathway, students complete approximately 60 college credits and earn a Liberal Arts AA or AS degree alongside their high school diploma.
This pathway benefits students who are:
strong in their academic habits.
ready for a significant head start on college.
motivated to complete a defined degree plan.
Students in this pathway graduate with up to two years of college already completed, potentially saving families $20,000 or more and putting a bachelor's degree closer than most people think possible at age 18.
Guided Planning That Fits the Student
Every pathway includes four years of Advisory and intentional academic guidance. Our small school environment means administrators and counselors work closely with each family at enrollment and throughout high school.
When students are known well, planning becomes purposeful.
