Clubs & Activities

Participation in clubs and activities helps students develop a sense of camaraderie and make friendships based on common interests. We encourage students to get involved and have some fun while they learn new skills.

Clubs

In addition to several sports opportunities, students at Union Colony Preparatory can participate in:

Key Club
The UCPS Key Club is a student-run organization that helps to encourage students to reach out in their community and find ways to serve. Every year we have new members that are excited to join in the fun activities that improve their character, introduce them to fellow students, and improve the world around them. Service projects we have done include things such as making heart pillows for cardiac patients, working Potato Day at Centennial Park, touring and helping to sort food at the Weld Food Bank, cleaning at the Wild Animal Sanctuary in Keensburg, and much more. There is no better way to help yourself or those around you, so come join the UCPS Key Club! We look forward to seeing you!

Student Council
Our Student Council gives students hands-on experience with democratic government. Students elect officers and student representatives in the fall. Student council members spend their time expressing concerns on behalf of their peers and developing school-spirit activities throughout the year.

National Honor Society
Our school's chapter of the National Honor Society inducts students based on their academic success, character, leadership skills, and community service. Selected members meet monthly and take part in various service projects and plan school wide activities. Members of NHS are recognized at our yearly awards banquet and being a member is an honor that students often list on college scholarship applications.

Publications
UCPS students work diligently throughout the year to learn about different publication styles and methods. Members of the Publication staff merge their skills in writing, editing, photography, and publishing our school's yearbook. Yearbooks are available for purchase, and you can order online through Jostens.

Drama
The drama department offers opportunities to participate in theatre both on stage and behind the scenes in several productions throughout the year. Students can audition for roles, be a part of the stage crew, and even learn to direct! Drama activities will be posted on the Theatre Spotlight callboard in the high school.
