Admissions Information

Union Colony Schools is a tuition-free public K-12 Preparatory School. We have a K-5 Elementary School and a 6-12 Preparatory School. Please read below for all the steps - from interest to enrollment. If you have any questions, please email us at [email protected].

Applicant Responsibility

Applicants are responsible to visit our online enrollment system to update any changes to their application including address, phone numbers, etc. All applications will remain active and be kept on file until applicants are offered enrollment or applicant withdraws the application.

Once the applicant enrolls at Union Colony, it is the parent's responsibility to notify Union Colony of any siblings on the wait list. Students must provide their own transportation.

New Students

Step 1: Application

The first step in the admissions process is to apply to attend Union Colony Schools. This is completed through the Greeley-Evans School District 6 website.

Step 2: Registration

If you did not already do so during the application step, the second step in the process is Registering with District 6. This is also completed through the Greeley-Evans School District 6 website.

  • If you have never registered a child in the district
    • Go to the registration page
    • Click on the button for Families New to District 6
    • Complete the online registration process
  • If you have already registered a child but would like to add another child

Step 3: The Lottery and Admission

Union Colony is a free, public, charter school, which often has more community interest than available seating. As such, we've instituted a lottery according to state law to select new students for the upcoming school year.

Our lottery is held at the end of January for the upcoming school year.

  • We'll assign available seats by lottery.
  • If your child's number is not chosen during the lottery, we'll add them to our waiting list.
  • As student movement occurs, we offer available space to those applicants on our waiting list.

Please note that we accept online open enrollment applications all year and enroll students if seats are available.

The Final Step: Enrollment at Union Colony Schools

You are almost there!

Visiting your child's new school campus can help put jittery feelings at ease-both yours and your child's! To help in this process an enrollment orientation meeting is a necessary part of enrolling in a charter school.

You and your child must schedule and attend this meeting with one of our administrators before joining the Union Colony family. When attending this meeting don't forget to bring the following documentation.

  • Proof of Residency
  • Child's original birth certificate
  • Immunization records
  • Academic records from previous school (grades 3-12 only)

Special Information for Kindergartners

All prospective kindergarten students must be five years old on or before October 1st of the year they will be entering kindergarten.
